Problem: How do I increase or change the timeout settings that log me out of HelpDesk?


The session timeout is handled by tomcat and not by HelpDesk. The session timeout warning that is displayed periodically is given by HelpDesk as a reminder. It is configured to display every 30 minutes despite the timeout settings in tomcat. The following resolution will explain how to extend or modify the timeout session for tomcat.

If you are running version 8.x or greater you can set the timeout settings by logging in as Admin and under the Application Configuration ->Customization portion you will find the timeout settings can be adjusted (in minutes).
