Migration of eHelpDesk to New Server

Several customers have asked for instructions for moving the eHelpDesk application from one server to another.

Since most of the configuration for the application is in the database, the process consists of basically backing up the database and copying that to the new server.

Please note that is you have made change to Tomcat to run on a specific port or any other customization, you will need to replicate that one the new server.

The attached PDF files contain the instructions on migrating the eHelpDesk application to a new server.

If you are using the included MySQL database that comes bundled in our inclusive installer, use the ehdUpgradeIncludedDB.pdf instructions.

If you are using and external database such as MS SQL, Oracle, Postres, or non-bundled MySQL, use the ehdUpgradeExternalDB.pdf instructions.
